The Tangibility of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Although the huge trend in his favor, until the past decade. CSR was looked with some suspicious, especially by business people. CSR was faced just as a trend that could not really impact the way the companies do business.

Now things changed. Companies realized that CSR is not just a matter of image but is fundamental to the business survival in the market. Sustainability - to produce more and better products with fewer resources – is now real source to reduce costs and, consequently, increase profits.

In addition, the intangibility that in the past was linked with the word sustainability in the business world is becoming narrower. Some companies developed ways to measure the impact of sustainability on its operations turning more clear to the market the rules of the game.

The era in what CSR was more related with something mystic and intangible, which was used to give a green reputation to corporations, is over.
